A cowboy doll originally belonging to A. Jackson. His rigid posture, far-seeing eyes and non-removable plastic suit gave him an air of dogged singleness of purpose, exploited for comic effect in his most memorable roles as the indefatigable soldier eternally "returning from the war" and as Aina's loyal but dunderheaded swain. Dan also sometimes played the part of villain, and occasionally even captured the role of romantic lead on the strength of his unusually fine hands.
